When Iowa winter rolls in, many riders hang up their bikes and wait for warmer days. But cold temps, moisture, and months of inactivity can take a toll on your ride. That’s why Northtowne Cycling + Fitness offers a Winter Bike Storage + Tune-Up Program, a simple way to protect your bike and ensure it’s ready to roll when spring returns.
What’s Included
• Secure, Temperature-Controlled Storage
From December 2 to March 14, your bike will be stored indoors in a climate-controlled space, safe from freezing temps, salt, and moisture.
• Professional Tune-Up Service
Before March 15, our expert technicians will give your bike a full tune-up so it’s clean, lubricated, and ready to ride the moment the snow melts.
• Flexible Pickup
Need your bike during the winter? No problem. Call ahead to schedule a pickup anytime before March 15. Just bring a valid photo ID and sign a quick liability waiver when checking out your bike.
Cost
$325 per bike (plus applicable tax)
This all-inclusive rate covers three months of secure storage and a complete tune-up, no surprises, no hidden fees.
How It Works
1. Drop Off your bike at Northtowne after December 1. Bring your ID!
2. We Store + Service your bike through the winter.
3. Pick Up any time before March 15. Call ahead at least two weeks prior to pick up and bring your ID.

Special Notes for E-Bikes
For e-bike brands not sold at Northtowne, we require that the battery be stored off-site. This precaution ensures safety, as standards vary across manufacturers. Additionally, tune-ups for e-bike brands not sold at Northtowne will not include firmware or technical system updates.
